Starting date

OK, I'm leaning toward Sept. 17th now for starting playschool. All other activities seem to be starting that week so why not us too.

Please let me know the names and ages of the kids you'll be bringing this year. I'm trying to decide if we'll need something special for the older ones.

Back to playschool

I hope everyone is having a great summer. My lawn has never looked greener! It could be the weeds too!

Any idea when you guys want to start up again? I'm looking at Sept 10th or 17th.

As well, start thinking about how you want to help out this year.

Good news....We now have Mrs. T and Mrs. Emily on board for the fall.

Picnic at the church

If you are just joining us for the picnic, it's going to be at the church at 11:00. I'll get a few toys out so the kids can play a bit and then we'll have lunch.

It's too windy and cold to be at the park today.

End of the year wind up

We're swimming at Churchill pool between 9:30 and 10:30 for the toddler swim. Then, we'll meet at Vicker's Park around 11:00 for a Picnic. Let Linda know if you are coming so that she can have enough drinks and cupcakes. Please bring your own lunch. We'll meet over by the swings.

If it rains (40% chance at this point) we'll meet at the church at 11:00.

Together- We Learn, Play & Pray

Together.
A wonderfully busy morning.
Imagining.
Colouring, creating.
Playing, painting, praying.
Singing, sharing, storytelling, snacking.
Catching a glimpse of God's gentleness, goodness, creativity and love.
Filling with awe and amazement.

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is

for brethern to dwell together in unity"

Psalm 133:1

And, perhaps, the psalmist meant PLAY together too.

It is a wonderful blessing. See you next week!

Duty Schedule is Posted

Please check the duty schedule to see when your next turn is. We're winding down our year and there are only 5 weeks left.

Give some thought as to how we'll celebrate for our final day. The weather is pretty unreliable in May so we can't always count on a warm day at the park.

Welcome to baby Joshua!

We're glad to welcome back Shelly and the girls as well as their new addition, Joshua.

We're meeting at Shelly's house

The Music Festival is on at the church on April 2nd so we will be meeting at Shelly's house. I've sent you all instructions on how to get there.

Marlene, your email box is over its quota (it's full) so that's why you aren't getting email. You can contact me for instructions.

This week and next week

We're meeting this week at the normal time. Since we don't have the new schedule yet, Linda will do snack and duty parent since she was on for last week when we cancelled.

Thurs. April 2nd we aren't able to have playschool at the church because of the music festival so think about what you want to do instead. We'll decide this week and I'll post her so you'll know where to show up.

Valentine's Day

We decorated cookies with our friends this morning. It was one gooey mess but I think everyone had a good feed of cookies and candy. Thanks to Angela for looking after the icing and candy goodness.

In our lessons we continue to learn about God showing us His glory through creation.

Christmas party Dec. 11th

Bring along your favourite cookie cutters because we are making cookies. Linda is once again making her world famous (not quite) white cookies to ice and decorate. This will be our last day until January.

Playing Dress Up

The kids all enjoyed playing dress up this morning. Last year, the big kids would wear the costumes and the younger kids weren't interested at all. That has all changed now. Some of the costumes were interesting to say the least. The kids played together while wearing their costumes.

We had 8 kids this morning and there definitely was a lot of energy in the room. They are a great bunch of kids and all get along well.

Alissa is teaching the older group as well as leading the worship time before we leave for home.

We have a couple of dads that are helping out this year too and that has been great.

November 6, 2008

We continue to explore fall in the sensory area. This week there were leaves, pine cones and plastic bugs to check out.

Jess Armstrong has been a real asset to us this fall. She has been having a good time playing with the kids.
