Little Seedlings on Location

Hi friends,
As the renos at the church are not quite completed, we will again be out & about!  This week (Apr. 29) we'll be at Centennial Park.  We'll have lots of time to play at the playground, visit the horses, play parachute, go for a short walk, and have a snack & lesson in the lodge.

Please dress warmly and bring along a snack to share.

See you then!

Celebrating Earth Day and God's Creation on Location!

Last week we went to one of our friends' homes as the renovations at the church were underway.  There were bubbles & sidewalk chalk, a swing, a slide & a trampoline, sand & trucks...

As it was Earth day, we celebrated God's creation by making our own planets (out of coffee filters and green & blue food colouring)
The kids (& parents) had lunch while Emily shared a story about Creation with the kids.
Then we cleaned up & took home our very tired Little Seedlings...

Thank you for sharing your home Petteplace family!

Even More Farm Fun!

Our trip to the Veurink's farm was such a fantastic time! Although the wind was chilly and we had to dig out our winter clothes again, the kids were troopers! The piglets were a hit, as were the calves and the multitude of hens. Some of the kids even helped collect freshly laid eggs and got to feel their warmth. After visiting all the barn animals, we went on a hay ride around the field.

Then, with the wood stove stoaked in the kitchen, we all warmed up with yummy snacks, hot chocolate and coffee... all included 22 children, 12 mothers/grandmothers, 2 helpers, Alice Marie & Isaac.

Then the kids headed to the back room to play.

Thank you once again Alice Marie (and Isaac!) for allowing us to share your beautiful farm and home for the morning! It was such a blessing :)

Trip to the farm

We had another amazing visit to the Veurink farm...thanks Alice Marie and Isaac! Although it was cold that didn't dampen the kids' enthusiasm as we visited the horses, cows, pigs and chickens. The hayride was fun and gave us a good excuse to snuggle with our little ones.

The snacks were great too! Thanks everyone!!!

Update

Renovations have begun at the church so we have to be off site for the next two weeks.

This week we are off to the farm again (weather permitting). Please meet at the church at 9:30 and then we'll drive out together.

The following week we are going swimming at the complex. Details to come.

Don't forget to let Lezlie or Linda know how you can help with the Mothers' Market. We still need people to set up the night before, help at the sale and clean up after.
